Last Updated 21 January 2012, 18:53 IST

Emirates Airlines will soon offer inflight internet service. It has equipped 12 of its Airbus A380s with inflight internet services and all future Emirates A380s would be provided with this capability by end of 2012.

Passengers can plug-in their USB drive, watch photographs and read documents too.

Though the Internet service was installed more than a year ago, Emirates Corporate Communications Publishing Vice President Patrick Branelly said testing and feedback collection from the crew was still underway. More than 200 people used it on flights with average use being around 3 to 4 per cent per flight.

Emirates is also luring passengers with its massive collection of movies through its information communication & entertainment (ICE) system aboard its aircrafts. Branelly said everybody uses ICE adding with 1,300 channels offered on ICE, passengers are spoilt for choice.
