A complaint was made by the election office here against A Tyagi, son of JD(U) leader and former MP K C Tyagi, for allegedly possessing a list of voters, police said.
According to the election office, the data might have been used by electoral candidates for their vested interests, they said.
The director of a private intelligence company has also been booked for allegedly misusing the voter information, they said, adding that the company office has been sealed.
In an unrelated incident, two trucks -- one of them carrying 300 LPG cylinders, were hijacked by some unidentified persons here, police said.
