Queer festival from today

The fourth Bangalore Queer Film Festival is being held from February 24 to 26 at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore.

The annual festival has served as a space to voice the views of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. This year, the fest will screen as many as 59 films from 16 countries. Among these, there are 34 short films, six documentaries and six feature films.

The festival will also feature photo exhibition, cultural performances and panel discussion.

The Queer Festival is being held in association with Good As You (GAY), We’re Here and Queer (WHAQ), Swabhava and Pirat Dykes.

Among the films to be screened as part of the festival are The Widow, by David Martin (USA), Strangers, by John Lindquist (Sweden), Allison, My Love, by Richard Paro (USA), Deidre, by Cyra K Polizzi, I’m Gay, by Cyra K Polizzi (USA),  Sky by Shirly Samarasinghe (Sri Lanka), Between The Two, by Tanvi Talwar (Tamil Nadu), Madame X,  by Lucky Kuswandi (Indonesia).
