2 sentenced to life for killing youth

The Fast Track Court-I on Saturday sentenced two persons to life imprisonment in connection with a youth’s murder.

Judge Amar Narayan found Kallesh alias Kallegowda and Srinivas alias Seena guilty of the offence and slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 each on them.

They, along with six others, had stabbed Alosh Kumar to death on 80 Feet Road in Nagarbhavi on September 30, 2009.

Kumar was travelling in a car along with his friends Siddarth K, Swayamsathyakama, Samrat, Devanshi Jain and Poorva Nanavati.

They had parked the car on the roadside when the convicts teased the girls in the car, which led to a quarrel. The convicts stabbed Alosh and fled in a four-wheeler. Alosh was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries, the police said. 

The then Jnanabharati police inspector R Jayaram registered a case, took up the investigation and arrested Kallesh, 20, a resident of Kamakshipalya, Srinivas, 19, of Dommasandra, Raju, 35, Kempa, 26, Trimurthy, 23, and Girish, 20, all from Nagarbhavi. The judge found Kallesh and Seena guilty, while acquitting the others.

Man dies in accident
A 32-year-old interior designer died in a road accident on Friday night. Tarun Kumar, a resident of NGEF colony and a native of Bihar - who was riding a two-wheeler - rammed into the median while travelling on the inner ring road around 10 pm. The vehicle hit the median when he lost balance over it and he was thrown off it. Kumar was run over by an unidentified vehicle coming from the opposite direction. He died on the way to the hospital.

Youth ends life
A young businessman who suffered losses hanged himself to death at his Corporation Colony residence in Tilak Nagar on Saturday.

Kamlesh, 22, had started an online gold and silver business with his friend Satish. Initially, the duo did well. But when they suffered losses, Kamlesh decided to end his life.
The deceased has left behind a death note and blamed his partner for the losses in business, police said.
