11 robbers arrested

Eleven people were arrested from the national capital in last two days for their involvement in various robbery cases, police said on Monday.

While six robbers were arrested from Malviya Nagar, five were nabbed from Rohini.  The six robbers arrested on Sunday were identified as Rohit, 22, the kingpin, Sanjay Kumar, 20, Deepak Singh, 23, Virender, Rajesh, 26, and Narender, 28.

They were involved in around 10 robbery cases in Delhi and Gurgaon, deputy commissioner of police (south) Chhaya Sharma said.

Another five robbers arrested from Rohini in outer Delhi on Saturday were involved in five cases.

They were held after police got a tip-off that they were going to assemble near Rithala Metro station in Rohini. They are identified as Daulat Ram, 39, Joginder, 23, Hari Mohan, 28, Deepak Kumar, 21 and Pappu Kumar Mourya, 23.
