BSY may skip BJP core panel meet

Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa is now said to be in two minds on attending the crucial core committee meeting convened by BJP National President Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on March 3.

According to sources close to Yeddyurappa, the BJP leader has been contemplating for the last two days whether he should be attending the meeting.

He is said to have told his loyalists that he did not see any point in attending the meeting as the party central leadership had already decided that there was no question of reinstating him as chief minister or making him State party president.

Yeddyurappa is likely to personally call Gadkari and tell him that he will not be able to make it for the meeting due to prior commitments, sources said. Gadkari at the ‘Chinthana Mantana Baitak’ in Bangalore had announced that the core committee meeting in the national capital would sort out all differences among the stakeholders in the party state unit.

Not to campaign
Yeddyurappa is likely to also stay away from campaigning for the party candidate for the Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll.

He is understood to have decided to embarrass the party central leadership from time to time in a tit for tat for snubbing him on the leadership issue.
