Bahujan Samaj Party leader Chandraveer Singh’s son threatened a 26-year-old Russian woman on gunpoint and snatched her valuables in the city on Wednesday, police said.

The victim told police that she reached Delhi on Wednesday morning from Moscow and went to her residence in Freedom Fighter Colony in Mehrauli area where she lives with three friends.

She works at an interior designing company at Gurgaon in Haryana. She had gone to Russia after taking leave from her office and was about to join back on Thursday.

She said Vivek Singh, 32, alias Vicky came to her house and threatened her on gunpoint. She escaped and locked herself in the bathroom.

“She alleged that as she came out, she found that the accused has taken away her mobile phone, passport and debit card. We have registered an FIR following the complaint,” police said.

She added that she knew Vivek since her training period at the company, said police. According to police, Vivek is the son of BSP leader Chandraveer Singh and he was previously arrested in a firing case in Mocha Bar in south Delhi.

“We are investigating the case from every possible angle. The reason behind his act is still unknown. A team is conducting raids to nab the accused,” police said.
