Udupi Mahadwara to be dedicated today

Speaking to the media here, the Paryaya Seer said that the Mahadwara built on the eastern side of the temple premises near Geetha Mandir fully depict the wooden art of traditional ancient. 

He said that the Mahadwara will be dedicated to the Lord by Pejawar mutt Seer Vishveshatheertha Sripada in the presence of other seers. The other dignitaries expected on the occasion include Home Minister Dr V S Acharya, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP and State BJP President D V Sadananda Gowda and KPCC President R V Deshpande, he said. He informed that during the second term of his Paryaya at the temple which will end on January 18, 2010, he had taken up 10 major projects including “Clean Udupi City,” “Anna Yajna” (hall for disposal of used banana leaves), renovations inside the sanctorum of the temple.
