The present volatile political scenario in the State may force Lok Sabha and Assembly elections anytime, BJP State President K S Eshwarappa said here on Saturday.

Addressing the media here, Eshwarappa said a message had been sent to the party workers to be prepared to face mid-tem polls, and several morchas would be organised across the State to prepare for the elections.

He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a programme in view of the March 31 mega women’s convention to be held at the Palace Grounds. He said party’s national leaders too would participate in the convention. Around 30,000 women are expected to take part in the event.

On April 7, a massive rally would be organised by the dalit morcha of the BJP in Mysore. After the culmination of various morchas, a massive convention would be held in Bangalore on May 26. Nearly six lakh party workers are expected to participate in this event, he said.

Eshwarappa also made it clear that Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda would present the State budget on March 21. When asked about the ambiguity in state representative in New Delhi, V Dhananjay Kumar’s recent statement that “a BJP chief minister will present the budget,” Eshwarappa said he had no clue why Kumar had spoken in this fashion.

“He is not the party spokesperson. I will bring this to the notice of the Central leaders,” he added.
