Top honour for Sharat, Chouhan

Valahak, ridden by B Paswan and trained by Prithviraj, eased home to victory in the S Rangarajan Memorial Cup over 1400 metres, the feature event on the final day of races here on Saturday.

Sharat K with 32 victories and PS Chouhan with 48 wins were declared the best trainer and jockey, respectively, of the winter season.

In The Spotlight, which won the Indian Turf Invitation Cup, was declared the best horse while United Racing Bloodstock Breeders Ltd were adjudged the best individual owener.
