BJP should apologise to Guv: Cong

Last Updated 08 September 2009, 18:58 IST

KPCC president R V Deshapande, at a press conference on Tuesday, said the governor had the right to comment on the law and order situation in the state. No minister should question the governor’s authority.

He said the governor had commented about the law and order situation in the state with facts he gathered. The government should rectify its mistakes instead of criticising the governor for his comments.

Congress leader V S Ugrappa has criticised Law and Parliamentary Affairs minister Suresh Kumar for writing a letter to the governor criticising his comments.
CM Yeddyurappa refused to join the issue when his comments was sought. He told reporters that he would not like to comment as all issues have been sorted out with the Governor. Home Minister Acharya has already spoken to the Governor, he added.
