Three injured after BMW car hits bike

Three people, including a minor girl, were critically injured after a speeding BMW car hit the bike they were travelling from behind near Rajghat in central Delhi on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Nasiruddeen, 40 and Rahul, 14 and Parul 6, residents of Chawri Bazar in central Delhi, were injured in the accident, said a senior police officer.

The speeding car was on its way to Chandigarh when it hit the bike. The incident took place around 12.10 pm at ring road near Rajghat when the BMW car, with the registration number CH 01 AL 2504, hit the Yamaha bike.

They were rushed to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) hospital. “Nasiruddeen and Parul are stated to be unconscious and critical while Rahul is out of danger,” said a police official.

The 50-year-old errant driver, Man Bahadur, has been arrested and booked under rash and negligent driving.
