On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Ambarish and his staff raided the place where sand mining was being carried out on Thursday and seized the motor pump used for the mining purpose. A case has been registered against Murthy of Singanahalli and Munikrishna of Vemgal.
Youth ends life
A 24-year-old youth reportedly hanged himself on Wednesday night at Singondahalli. The deceased has been identified as Suresh (94). Reason for Suresh’s suicide is yet to be ascertained, said the police. A case has been registered and investigation is in progress.
