TP resolves to change hospital administrator

Taluk Panchayat review meeting resolved to change the administrator of the government hospital in the backdrop of failure to provide quality service to the public.

Speaking at the taluk panchayat KDP meeting, President Padmavathi Ramesh said the condition of the hospital is deteriorating day-by-day. There is a lack of cleanliness and services are not offered to the patients.

Vice-President Narayana said that the MLA had tried to improve the facilities in the hospital. However, all his efforts have gone in vein.

Agriculture department assistant director Sathyanarayana Rao said that there is no shortage of fertilisers in the taluk. About 1,800 tonne fertilisers are available for distribution.

About 82 tonne lime has been distributed among the farmers.

The second installments under Suvarna Bhoomi scheme has been distributed among the beneficiaries. Under Bhoo Chethana scheme, 16 agriculture assistants will be recruited on contract basis for four months.

President directed the zilla panchayat engineering division to take up the work on rejuvenation of 23 tanks in the taluk and complete the work at the earliest.

Vice-President B R Narayan urged to install solar fence to check wild animals menace in the taluk and to protect crops.

Social Welfare officer Lakshman said that the department has decided to construct new building to accommodate children from Balagadi hostel. Owing to shortage of students, hostel at Kammaradi will be closed down.

The BEO Prakash said that there are 89 vacant teachers posts in the taluk. The government has allowed to recruit BEd graduates for schools in Naxal infested areas. The department has received 16 applications so far.
