Statutes diglot edition

Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister S Surest Kumar on Wednesday released the second diglot edition (English-Kannada) of the Constitution of India.

The second edition has incorporated up to 95th amendment, 2009.

The Kannada version of the Constitution was first published in 1976.

The revised edition was brought out in 1985. The first diglot edition (English-Kannada) was published in 2001 by incorporating all amendments till 2000.

Besides, the department of Parliamentary Affairs has brought out authoritative Kannada texts of 36 Central Acts in two volumes.

The Minister said the publication enables people to access information about various amendments of the Constitution in their mother tongue.
