“This collection is especially meant to be worn on luxury vacations. The look is definitely meant to say ‘leisure and relaxation coupled with pure feminine sophistication’. We have designed it keeping in mind either the romantic honeymooner or the glamourous socialite. When you look at our designs, think luxury cruise or high-end beach resort, of sipping cocktails while the sun sets in the background or sailing through the blue and white Mediterranean seas,” says Falguni.

The venue was Olive Beach and it was packed with guests vying with each other in sporting the trendiest look or outfit. As the models moved their way through the jam-packed spaces, it became hard to distinguish between the ladies in their weekend best and professional models.

Flowing dresses, loose lounge pants, halter-necks or plunging necklines, the soft-flowing fabrics and styles of the collection on display were both elegant and different. “We’ve used luxury fabrics like satins, silks and chiffons and while our prints are very bold and in your face, they are sophisticated,” added Falguni.

The collection was also very bohemian in parts, a heady mix of the sensuous, fluid and glamourous. The prints were a mix of florals and animal with a hint of embroidery.The dresses were mainly long, flowing into shades, with tones and brilliant colours ranging from inky greys to purples, pale beiges, crimson reds and hot pinks or neon yellows mixing and merging in places or standing out dramatically.

The models for the evening were Pashmeena Barker, Jackie Shetty, Archana Kumar, Aditi Shah, Niharika Nag and special guest Vibhinta Das.

There were also wearing loose jackets in classic blacks worn over short dresses and gathered pants. Detailed diamante embroidery highlighted draped plunging necklines adding a touch of the dramatic to the flowing gowns. Interesting textures and ruches with hidden pleats and easy to wear fits, were also the highlights of the collection.The fine details added to the look and wearability of the garments. “We have got very creative with fabrics and prints making them bold yet elegant for the woman who is an international traveller with a definite idea of styles and trends in this collection,” added Falguni.
