MCC evicts petty shops

Speaking to Deccan Herald, MCC Commissioner Dr Vijayaprakash said “we are continuing mission of clearing up footpaths and parking lots. Eviction drive will continue in the future.

The drive is intended to send a warning to the encroachers. In fact, these petty shops had encroached footpaths, thus causing inconvenience to the users. It had become a major traffic hazards. The drive will go on till the footpaths are cleared.”

He said: “We had urged the petty shop owners to clear the footpaths in advance. However, very few of them obliged,” he added.
