<p>Speaking to Deccan Herald, MCC Commissioner Dr Vijayaprakash said “we are continuing mission of clearing up footpaths and parking lots. Eviction drive will continue in the future. <br /><br />The drive is intended to send a warning to the encroachers. In fact, these petty shops had encroached footpaths, thus causing inconvenience to the users. It had become a major traffic hazards. The drive will go on till the footpaths are cleared.” <br /><br />He said: “We had urged the petty shop owners to clear the footpaths in advance. However, very few of them obliged,” he added.</p>
