<p>Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa’s granddaughter B U Apoorva, daughter of S Y Aruna Devi, married her classmate B Chandrakanth on Thursday at Palace Grounds.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Earlier on Wednesday, a lavish reception was hosted at the same venue which was attended by top politicians, film stars, and bureaucrats. <br /><br />Apoorva and B Chandrakanth met while doing their BE together in electronics and communication at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering in Mysore. <br /><br />An excited Chandrakanth spoke to Metrolife soon after his wedding, “We liked each other but we always wanted to get married with the consent of our parents. It’s a great feeling and I am glad that everything went off smoothly with the love and affection of our family members.” <br /><br />Apoorva did her PUC in Shimoga and later moved to Mysore to pursue her BE. Chandrakanth completed his PUC from Seshadripuram College in PCME before moving to Mysore. <br /><br />The couple will go to the University of Alabama in the United States of America to do their MBA in supply chain management. “We will return to Bangalore and I would like to employ new techniques and start a business in supply chain management. My dream is to revolutionise the mass transport system in Bangalore,” shared Chandrakanth.<br /> <br />Talking about the preparation, Apoorva’s mother Aruna Devi said, “I stay in Shimoga. My brothers made all the arrangements. I am not too sure about the guest list. I had only invited my friends from Shimoga.” On the reception day, the bride looked resplendent in gold-embroidered sari while the groom matched his black suit with white shirt, red silk tie and red pocket square. <br /><br />Among film stars who graced the occasion were Ambarish, Upendra, Priyanka, Ganesh, Yash and music director Guru Kiran. </p>
