Q.I am 16 years-old and my calves are tanned. I am very conscious of exposing my legs while wearing shorts or a dress. How can I go back to my normal skin tone? Please help.


A.Apply an anti-tan sunscreen on exposed areas of arms and legs while going out in the sun or while swimming in an open pool. Apply sesame seed (til) oil daily and massage it on the skin. Mix gram flour (besan), curd, lemon juice and a little turmeric into a paste and apply this at least thrice a week on these areas. Wash it off after half an hour.

Then apply sesame seed oil and massage it on the skin, as recommended. You can also apply a cream containing lemon and turmeric daily. This should help get rid of the tan.
