Woman attempts suicide in front of court

A woman accused of her husband’s murder attempted suicide, allegedly by consuming poison, in front of a court here on Monday.

Radha, 28 years, wife of Kumar and a resident of Dyavappanahalli in the taluk is that woman. Radha’s husband is missing for the past six months.

Alleging the handiwork of Radha behind her husband’s murder, relatives of Kumar had lodged a complaint at the police station.

They had accused Radha of having an extramarital affair and did her husband to death with the help of that man. Acting on the complaint, the police had interrogated Radha twice.

Upset, Radha made a bid to kill self by consuming poison in front of a court here.

Radha’s brother Shivanna has alleged that his sister was being targeted by her husband’s relatives eyeing the property. Despite many attempts to settle the dispute, Radha is still undergoing harassment.

Kumar’s relatives have alleged that Radha tried to end life only to evade arrest.
