The deceased, Ramanna (65), was sleeping in the cattleshed, when the shed wall, which was in a dilapidated condition, collapsed.
Apart from this, two sheep, a cow and its calf and 15 hens have died in the heavy rains.
Tahsildar Nagaraj, Circle Inspector Sampath Kumar, Sub Inspector Saleem Nadaf, Inspector C Krishnappa have inspected the rain-affected areas.
