Kiran, Sonia discuss AP bypolls rout

As the Congress still reels under the humilating defeat at the hands of the rival YSR Congress in the recently held by-elections in Andra Pradesh, state Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, where the rout by Jaganmohan Reddy’s party said to have featured prominently.

Though there was no official word on what transpired between the two leaders, the loss of 15 out of 18 Assembly and the Nellore Lok Sabha seats to YSR Congress, seen as the trial run to the 2014 Assembly elections, was the primary subject of discussions at 10 Janpath in New Delhi.
