CDPO accused of harassing women

Anganwadi workers staged a protest accusing Ravindra, Child Development Officer, of misbehaviour, at the Zilla Panchayat premises in Kolar on Wednesday.

The protesters were led by the State Anganwadi Workers and Assistants’ Committee.
The protesters alleged that Ravindra, since assuming the office, has been harassing women anganwadi workers. “He allegedly made sleazy remarks to an anganwadi worker, who approached him on measurement of uniforms provided by the government.

A complaint in this regard has been submitted at the District In-charge officer Pankaja. However, no action has been initiated against the officer, yet,” the protesters complained.

Transfer demanded

They also alleged that officers Sumithramma and D M Rathnamma are instigating him and urged the government to transfer the three officers at the earliest.
