The Commissioner gave a twelve-point agenda to the BBMP officers to act fast on them to avoid untoward incidents. He directed the officials to mercilessly raze all the encroachment on major and secondary storm water drains, clear all the drains from garbage and silt, putting signage board and barricades at places which are prone to accidents, removing silts continuously from the major and secondary storm water drains and action that instills faith among the citizens about the BBMP’s concern for them.
He directed the officials to attend to complaints quickly and sympathetically. They were instructed to take all precautionary measures in low-lying areas, and to spread awareness among the people living in low-lying areas . He also directed the officials to also check the preparedness of the contingency team.
