In fact, some of the two wheeler riders had tried to assault police. As many as 11 cases have been filed for assaulting police personnel.
In a scuffle between police and bike riders, as many as 9 police personnel have been injured. The injured are Jose, John, Sajith Kumar, Madhu, Shibu, Biju, Manu, Sridasan and Sathyaprakash. Police have filed cases against more than 500 persons.
However, MLA C T Ahmmed Ali and Muslim League leaders got released as many as 60 persons on bail.
