'100-odd pilots opt for VRS'

“We have a very steep pyramid structure where there are less avenues of promotions,” he said.

“When one does not get promotions after 24-25 years of service, one wants to leave and try alternative avenues.Off hand I can tell that we have over 100 applications for VRS from pilots,” Naik said.
 Those who have sought VRS are a part of a 3000 strong pilot strength. Of these, about 1500 are fighter pilots.
