'Appointment of ZP standing committee member illegal'

 
He said that documents related to appointment of standing committee president has not been maintained properly and ZP President has gone ahead appointing the members to standing committee unilaterally and this is a clear violation of Panchayat Raj Bill (1993).

“Dictatorship is cropping up in ZP in one way. The members of the ruling party itself are making allegation of misappropriation of funds. This shows the inefficiency of ruling party,” he said and added that it was only during last month that administrative officer has been appointed to the ZP and before that Standing Committee for Social Justice President, a Congress member was the president. The fact that Congress members are pointing at the misappropriations, shows that Congress is incapable of running administration.

He said that a letter will be written to the government to dissolve Chikmagalur ZP for violating Panchayat Raj notification.
