Amid his ongoing agitation against black money, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday demanded “political honesty and will” on the part of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue of black money.

“We need an honest prime minister. I want the current Premier to demonstrate his political honesty and political will on the issue of black money,” he said.

“The government has the list of people who have stashed away black money in foreign shores. We don’t want the names of those, but at least disclose the amount. What is the harm in it? Why is the government reluctant?” he asked.

The yoga guru said the country could get rid of the menace of terrorism and naxalism only when the government controls flow of black money and rising inflation.

“India can become a super power in the world and the army can become more powerful than those in China and the US if the black money is brought back and spent on people and national security,” he said.

If the black money is brought to India, the country can boast of world-class hospitals, educational institutions and other facilities, he added.

Meanwhile, Ramdev, who is spearheading the movement against black money, asserted that he would announce his agenda on Saturday at the end of his 3-day fast. Giving details on the issue, he said, “Many people say I have no agenda. The agenda is to save the country. The people of the country will ask the government and all parties to spell out their agenda.”
