Youth Congress to hold opinion poll on BJP govt

Last Updated 14 August 2012, 18:51 IST

The Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) now wants to feel the pulse of the youth and create awareness among them about the ‘failures’ of the BJP government.

The KPYCC is launching many initiatives to make the youth ‘agents of change’, by launching a state-wide campaign which would also serve as an opinion poll.

Through a survey both online and offline, it hopes to collect the opinion of citizens on whether they want the BJP government to continue in the State or not.

Addressing reporters here, KPYCC president and vice-president Rizwan Arshad and Priyank Kharge said the campaign, titled ‘Yuvadhwani’, would be launched on August 16 by Congress leaders G Parameshwara and Siddaramaiah.

They said the objective of the campaign, which would serve as a “conscious keeper”, was to give the youth a forum to raise their voice against the “unprecedented political instability” in the State.

In addition, the wrongs of the BJP government, which had “hampered developmental activities,” would be highlighted.

The list of “wrongs” of the BJP government and its leaders would be hosted on the website – www.yuvadhwani.com.

Cartoons and posters making a mockery of the government would be put up across the State, they said.
