Tailor murdered

Unidentified persons allegedly murdered a tailor and dumped the body near a bus stop in Kamalanagar in Basaveshwarnagar police limits on Monday night.

The police have identified the dead as Manjunath, 50, a resident of Vrushabhavatinagar and a tailor by profession. He was married and had a son and a daughter.

According to police, Manjunath did not return home from work on Monday. His son-in-law received a call from his friend informing that Manjunath’s body was lying near the bus stop.

The assailants had attacked him with weapons and smashed his head.

Police said Manjunath had no enmity with anybody and was not involved in any criminal activities. It might have been a murder for robbery.
