Boy falls into canal, missing

A 12-year-old boy has gone missing from Marathalli, Sanjay Nagar, after he fell into a canal near his house.

According to HAL police, Yeshwant Acharya, an eighth standard student at a government school was playing with his friends when it was raining on Saturday. His friends reported to his parents that Yeshwant slipped into the canal while playing. The parents searched for the boy throughout Saturday night and registered a missing complaint on Sunday. The boy is yet to be found.
