Youth beaten to death on suspicion of mobile phone theft

An unidentified youth was beaten to death by some persons at the Sadar hospital compound here, police sources said today.

The unidentified youth was beaten up by some persons around midnight on the suspicion that he had stolen mobile phone, the sources said.

On being informed by the people about the incident police rushed to the spot and admitted the unidentified youth in the Sadar hospital but he died early this morning, they said.Police has started an investigation into the matter, they added.

The superintendent of the Sadar hospital Brajeswar Majumdar said some outsiders had beaten up a youth in the hospital compound on the suspicion of stealing a mobile phone and he was admitted by the police in the hospital but he died this morning.
