RMS boys clinch hockey title

A brace each from Mohit Raj and Vishal Singh helped Rashtriya Military School (RMS) outclass Government High School, Ponnampet 5-0 and clinch the GS Randhawa Memorial inter-school boys’ hockey title on Saturday. 

Raj struck in the 27th and 45th minutes while Vishal netted in the 54th and 59th minutes. Rajit Kumar scored the other goal in the 45th minute.

Result: final: Rashtriya Military School: 5 (Mohit Raj 27th, 45th, Rajit Kumar 45th, Vishal Singh 54th, 59th) bt Government High School, Ponnampet: 0. 

Individual Awards: Best Goalkeeper: Rahul Dhone (RMS); Best Defender: Hanumesh (Govt Sports School, Kudige); Best Midfielder: Aron Saroj Anand Raj (SJIHS); Best Forward: Sachin (Govet HS, Ponnampet); Most Valuable Player: Noel Robinson (Maria Niketan HS).
