World heart day run organised

District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA  Yogish Bhat, SP Dr Subramanyeshwara Rao were the guests of honour.  Nalin Kumar and Yogish Bhat spoke on the importance of exercise in day-to-day life.

Vandana Rao was also present. The run began from KMC (Bejai) and passed via Lalbagh, M G Road, PVS Circle and Bunts Hostel Circle and concluded at KMC Hospital, Ambedkar Circle.
Paintings were unveiled by MRPL GGM in charge Refinery P P Upadhya. Vandana Rao was felicitated by Manipal University Registrar Dr G K Prabhu.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions like drawing, best slogan, best placard, best institution participation, youngest participant and oldest participant.
Vikas College of Physiotherapy won 3 awards for ‘Best Slogan,’ ‘Best Placard’ and
‘Best Institution Participation.’ Hindusthan Unilever Limited won Best Corporate Participation award. M Padakanya (77) was the oldest oarticipant and Diya Rani, (four and half year old) was the youngest participant to finish the run.
