Buela M Sam, arrested by the City police for gaining entry into the high security ISRO campus using a fake ID was remanded in police custody by the 10th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
Buela has been booked under Sections 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), 420 (cheating) and 490 (breach of contract of service during voyage or journey) of IPC. The Court had earlier remanded her in 14-day judicial custody till October 6. The City police had sought her custody for further interrogation.
T Suneel Kumar, Additional Commissioner (Law & Order) told Deccan Herald that police would subject the accused to a thorough medical examination at Nimhans, in the light of her husband Alex claiming that Buela was mentally ill and unstable. “A team would also most likely leave for Kollam , from where the accused is alleged to have procured the fake ID card, ” said a senior official.
