Delhi Police on Thursday declared a reward for anyone providing information to help solve the Rohini triple murder case. The investigators are probing the case from property dispute and personal enmity angles.

A 55-year-old businessman along with his wife and daughter was found dead under mysterious circumstances at their house in Rohini area of outer Delhi on September 21.

Entry into the house was friendly but it was not ransacked, which suggested that someone known to the family may be involved.

Yogendra Pratap Singh Chauhan was found in a pool of blood on the ground floor of their two-storey house, while his 50-year-old wife Rekha and 22-year-old daughter Karishma were found strangled in their bedroom.

“Delhi police commissioner B K Gupta has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who may give information or clues to trace or render any help to arrest the unknown accused persons involved,” a senior police official said.

A case of murder has been registered with K N Katju Marg police station.

An investigation also revealed that journalism graduate Karishma was in a relationship for the last few months. Police have questioned Karishma’s companion, but ruled out his involvement in the murders.

After questioning family members, police also found that Chauhan was in a financial mess and there is a strong possibility that he had taken a big loan which he could not pay back.
