Last Updated 14 October 2012, 13:28 IST

John Players believes in inventing something new in terms of cut, colour and design, to keep pace with the changing tastes of today’s fashion-conscious Indian male.

Like a second skin

John Players has unveiled its latest ‘Autumn Winter Collection’, in which the designers have played around with myriad shades, textures and styles to offer a smart,
cosmopolitan and fashionable look. “With the latest collection, timeless becomes trendy and traditional hues become flirty,” explains Atul Chand, divisional chief executive, ITC Lifestyle Retailing Business.

This collection is an exciting mix of colours, playful styling and contemporary fits. The brand offers a complete wardrobe, from casual wear to something for an evening out. There are retro-print graphic tees, 3D-printed hoodies, stylised striped wrinkle-free shirts, fresh-cut denims, smart trousers, trendy cargos, reversible sweaters and suits. “This season, the collection also introduces handcrafted ‘shackets’ — which is a smart combination of shirts with jackets,” adds Atul.

Talking in detail about each of the collection, Atul explains that the casual wear stands out in terms of its stylish design and fine detailing. The cuts are trendy and have immense scope to mix and match. The denims are cut to fit perfectly into one’s lifestyle and become like a second skin.

“This season, we have a denim range with strong styling and stitch-detailing to create an authentic vintage product. Great care and attention to detail are applied in both the development and production of each piece,” explains Atul.

Although, men can’t accessorise too much, Atul suggests that to complement the look, one can choose from a variety of accessories such as ties, belts and wallets. “Be it the playful detailing, bright colours or youthful patterns, the collection is all set to add to the style quotient of young people,” he says.
