29 more dengue cases reported

With 29 fresh cases of dengue being reported on Tuesday, the total number of vector-borne disease reported this season has gone up to 479.

All the 29 fresh cases were reported from three municipal corporations areas. No new case was reported from the New Delhi Municipal Council area. While 15 cases were reported from the areas under South Corporation, five cases from north Delhi while nine cases were recorded in east Delhi.

After a lean year till early September, the number of dengue cases has been on a rise. The data of health department of the municipal bodies shows 253 cases were registered in the last week. At least, 91 new cases were registered in the last three days alone.

South Delhi Municipal Corporation has reported the maximum number of cases at 197, while 180 cases were detected in North Delhi Municipal Corporation areas. Eighty-six cases have so far been reported from East Delhi Municipal Corporation.

 A nine-year-old girl died due to dengue last month.
