Rain had the final word as the four-day C K Nayadu Trophy Elite Group A under-19 match between Karnataka and Gujarat ended in a draw without the latter completing their first innings at the JIRS on Monday.

Gujarat were 106 for the loss of one wicket in reply to Karnataka’s first innings score of 488/3 declared when the match was called off after three mandatory overs. Both teams were awarded one point each.

Karnataka’s Kunal Kapoor, who smashed an unbeaten 202, was declared man of the match.
Karnataka next play Rajasthan in Jaipur from November 2 to 5.
