Youth run over by bus

A worker, who reportedly jumped off a moving BMTC bus, fell down and came under the wheels of the  bus near the Kadubisanahalli bus stop on Tuesday. Chandan Kumar, 20, a native of Bihar and a worker at an apartment in Yelahanka, died on the spot.

Chandan was on his way to a house, where he had worked earlier, to attend Ayudha Puja celebration. At the Kadubisanahalli bus stop, he jumped off the moving bus. But he fell down and was run over by the bus.

The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Airport Traffic Police have seized the vehicle and registered a case.

Worker killed in accident

A construction worker was killed on the spot when a two-wheeler hit him at Madivala Tuesday.

Nanjundaiah, 50, a native of Malavalli, was a resident of Rotary Nagar, police said.
When Nanjundaiah was crossing the Kodichikkanahalli main road in the afternoon, a two-wheeler knocked him down killing him on the spot.

The police have arrested Nagaraj, the two-wheeler rider, and seized his vehicle.
