Sore with wife, man takes to adultery

Town police have been successful in nabbing a highly-sexed person involved in a double murder in Chamarajanagar recently. A tailor’s label found on the blouse of the deceased helped the police in tracing the culprit.

Chinnaswamy alias Swamy alias Gold of Kollegal taluk is the accused and the victims have been identified as Jayamma and Yashoda.

According to police, the accused was not sexually content in his marriage life which developed a rift between the couple. So, he left home and said to have gone to Dharmasthala and Subramanya.

His modus operandi was to befriend women who had no family and support and convinced them to go with him. It is alleged that after taking them to a secluded place he was sexually exploiting them before doing them to death.

An unidentified woman was found strangled with a towel at an open field near Alur gate in the taluk recently. A case was registered at the Kuderu police station. On verifying the blouse worn by the woman, the police found the label of the tailor – Nooha, which helped them to track the case. The tailor was from Uppinangadi in Dakshina Kannada district, who disclosed that he had stitched the blouse to one Yashoda. They tracked the address of the woman to the field where she was working as a labourer and upon investigation found about the murder.

The accused is said to have befriended another woman Jayamma at Subramanya in the month of February. It is said that he had taken her to Mudukuthore in Talkad last April and had murdered her by strangling with her saree. He took away the gold chain and earrings and later pledged it at a pawn shop in T Narasipur.

Later, he came in contact with Yashoda of Kunigal and had brought her to Malavalli and had pledged her earrings for Rs 6,500. Later, he took her to a vacant place at Alur and killed her by strangling with his towel, according to police.

District superintendent of police P Rajendraprasad, ASP K H Chandrashekar, Dy SP Muthuswamy Naidu and CPI Niranjan Raje Urs took part in the operation.
