Low pressure over Bay of Bengal persists

A well-marked low pressure over the west-central Bay of Bengal that has been remaining stationary for the past two days is expected to move towards the coast bringing heavy rains over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry over the next 48 hours.

Few places over coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka would also experience rains, while isolated rains or thundershowers would occur over North interior Karnataka, the Met office said in its weather forecast till morning of November 25.

Virajpet in Kodagu district in Karnataka recorded 4 cm of rainfall. Davanagere and Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius in the plains of the region.
