Parvinder Awana and Ravindra Jadeja, who have been included in the squad for the fourth Test, also feature in the squad for the T20s, to be played at Pune and Mumbai.

UP seamer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar received a call up to the side in place of injured Irfan Pathan.

‘Yuvi made scapegoat’

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that veteran pacer Zaheer Khan's omission from the squad for fourth Test was on expected lines but Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh were made “soft targets.’’

“If you ask me, Zaheer’s exclusion was expected but I believe that Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh have been made scapegoats,” Gavaskar said. The legendary opener also seemed peeved with “attitude of some of the players”.

“I think a good idea would have been if chairman of selection committee (Sandeep Patil) would have gone to the dressing room and spoken with the players who haven't played some good shots to get out. Sadly, I saw some of the players joking around and playing football as if nothing has happened.”

Squad for Nagpur Test: MS Dhoni (capt), Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, R Ashwin, Ashok Dinda, Ojha, Ajinkya Rahane, Piyush Chawla, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, Parvinder Awana. Squad for T20s: Dhoni (capt), Gambhir, Rahane, Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj, Manoj Tiwary, Ashwin, Jadeja, Chawla, Dinda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, L Balaji, Parvinder Awana.
