A private complaint was today filed against former Karnataka chief minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy, his family members and others before Lokayukta Special court, accusing them of amassing illegal wealth to the tune of Rs 167 crore.

Complainant Rayasandra Ravikumar, a former BJP activist and now associated with the Karnataka Janata Party (KJP), has named Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil, his brother H D Ramesh and 12 others in his complaint.

He alleged that the wealth amassed during 2006-07 when Kumaraswamy was the Chief Minister had been invested in B S K Trading Company owned by Kumaraswamy's family members.

Judge N K Sudhindra Rao posted the complaint for hearing on its admissibility to January 2.
