<p>Vivacious and jolly, the television and film actress Shruti Seth says that working in Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti is the most challenging role so far.<br /><br /></p>.<p> Shruti, who has featured in Fanaa, Ta Ra Rum Pum, and Slumdog Millionaire, says, “My role in Rajneeti was different to the one’s that I was accustomed to doing till that time. It was quite a challenging role and I am glad that the audiences loved and appreciated it.”<br /><br />Known for her chirpy character in Shararat and as a host of many seasons of Comedy Circus, Shruti likes to steer clear of tight schedules of daily soaps as it hampers the quality. “I am not a fan of tight schedules that one has to be a part of while doing daily soaps because one ends up compromising on quality. Luckily, I have been a part of films and TV shows such for which I have shot in a relaxed atmosphere and managed to deliver my best,” says the 35-year-old actress, who is coming up in the second season of The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir on Disney Channel. She is playing mother of two in the show.<br /><br />“When I was first offered the role of a mother, I was a little apprehensive. But then I read the script and fell in love with my character, the show and the kids. The best part about my character is that she is a very believable mother. As an actor, I believe that it is important to make your audiences laugh, smile and bond together as families,” says Shruti, who is married to director Danish Aslam, director of Break Ke Baad.<br /><br />Is there a special reason that she has been associated with children shows? “That is primarily because their scripts and lovable characters. For a very long time, I was remembered as Jiya from Shararat and now I am remembered as Priti from The Suite...There are very few shows today which resonate with families and kids alike and luckily I have been a part of such shows,” she replies.<br /><br />Having been a model, an actor and a host, Shruti, who landed into the glamour world by chance, is all set to try her hand at direction. “It has been a very satisfying journey. I have played varied characters and have found appreciation for my performances. Having been a model, actor and host, I would now like to try my hand at direction,” shares Shruti, who was last seen in film My Friend Pinto. <br /></p>
