She was speaking at the valedictory, of the children’s camp “Chukki Chandramela”organised by the Adima Cultural organisation held at Teralli hill from Oct 6. The programme was held after staging of a play by the camp participants on Sunday night.
“The underprivileged children of north Karnataka have had a rare opportunity of being trained in Adima. Children who had no knowledge of what a play is have been trained in just 13 days to stage a performance. The Swaraj Network is striving towards enabling education deprived children to get alternative skills and Adima has proved its commitment to work for the betterment of oppressed class by conducting a theatre camp for the children”, she said.
Former legislator K Srinivas Gowda paid rich tributes to Adima, for creating cultural awareness by utilising the available resources.
Children from government primary and high schools from Bidar, Gowri Bidanur, KGF, Shivagange, Channapatna, numbering 53 participated in the camp and staged two plays, scripted by Kotiganahalli Ramaiah titled “ Kal Kamal Kale Parak” and “Ogatina Rani”.
