A farmer and 13 oxen were killed when he and his neighbours were returning from a cattle fair at Kibbanahalli Cross on Sunday night.
The six other farmers, and three more oxen that were also purchased at the Siddaganga fair for agriculture purposes, escaped with minor bruises, when the goods vehicle they were travelling in toppled. The dead has been identified as Satish.
He was a resident of Gandasi in Arsikere taluk of Hassan district.
