The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has completed the campus placements for the year 2013 with 381 students participating in the recruitment drive.

According to the Career Development Services of IIMB, more than 150 companies were present for the campus placements and made about 400 job offers to students of the institute.

The companies that were part of the drive include Cipla, DTDC, Ranbaxy, Kotak Mahindra, among others.

The HCL Technologies selected students for its Entrepreneur @Residence initiative as part of which candidates will get to work directly with the founder chairman of the company Shiv Nadar.

“This year’s unique feature was that a few of the students got leadership roles in the companies that hired them as opposed to the usual operational roles that are offered for freshers,” said Prof Shankaran Basu, chairperson, Career Development Services, IIMB.

As many as 21 students got the opportunity of international placements from organisations with global presence.

Blackstone Group and Roland Berger offered the international placements to students among other reputable firms such as the Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland, Swiss Investment Bank and others.
