KPCC vice president Ambarish said that though he is willing to contest from Mandya in the forthcoming Assembly polls, he is under pressure to contest from Srirangapatna again, from where he had lost the previous Assembly polls.

Addressing the media in the city on Tuesday he said that he is yet to decide on the constituency he would want to contest from. He would soon take a decision after holding discussions with former union minister S M Krishna and district unit president M S Atmananda, he added.

Even though he had not applied to contest for the upcoming elections, his name has been recommended to the High Command for both the constituencies, he said.
However, he would abide by the decision taken by the High Command and would contest from the constituency suggested by them.

Incumbent MLAs K Sureshgowda will contest from Nagamangala, while K B Chandrashekar from Krishnarajapet.

Replying to a query, he said no discussions had been held over JD(S) MLA Kalpana Siddaraju joining the Congress party.
