While the police furnished this information, they refused to comment on a raid reportedly conducted on a house in Koramangala ST Bed area. A Russian woman found in the house had in her possession the photograph of the son of a prominent politician from a neighbouring State, sources said.
A private television channel claimed that its sting operation had exposed the involvement of the Russian woman in a prostitution racket, and she carried a photograph of the politician’s son in her bag.
The politician’s son had acted in a few films and had reportedly figured in a case of financial irregularity.
While the police did not confirm this, the expose indicated the existence of a clandestine racket that brought girls from Russia and East European countries for clients in Bangalore, the sources said.
